Job Description

Select Source Solutions is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Assessor to perform technical evaluations on software, hardware, and SaaS platforms at the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA). The Assessor will ensure all products meet stringent Department of Defense cybersecurity requirements, working within the Risk Management Framework (RMF) to safeguard operational integrity and data privacy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive cybersecurity assessments on software, hardware, SaaS solutions, and software applications in accordance with AFI 17-101 and USAFA procedures.

• Coordinate and support the completion of Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) , especially for SaaS products.

• Evaluate systems against RMF requirements and provide detailed reports with security recommendations to the Government within 30 days of tasking.

• Maintain strong awareness of DoD cybersecurity policies and integrate them into product assessments.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather system information and conduct thorough analysis.

• Document findings clearly and ensure traceability of all recommendations and remediation plans.

Required Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience in cybersecurity assessment or related fields.

• Must be qualified under DoD Manual 8140.03 for RMF roles.

• Must possess and maintain one of the following certifications:

  • Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP)

  • CompTIA Security+

  • GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)

Security Clearance:

• Must have a Tier 3 background investigation for physical or logical access eligibility.

Salary: $120,000 – $140,000.  This is a proposal position for a government contract.
