This opportunity is for skilled Sign Language Interpreters to support K-12 students across multiple Illinois locations. These contracts span the 2024-2025 school year, allowing candidates to work in dynamic educational settings while fostering communication access for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.

Qualifications:

• Possession of a Professional Educator License (PEL) or a temporary interpreter certification
• Minimum EIPA score of 3.0 or higher

Available Positions:

Position 1: Hampshire, IL

• Full-time (35 hours/week)
• Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM
• High school site
• Contract duration: Immediate start through May 23, 2025

Position 2: Aurora, IL (Elementary School)

• Full-time (32.5 hours/week)
• Schedule aligned with school hours
• Contract duration: Immediate start through June 6, 2025

Position 3: Aurora, IL (High School)

• Full-time (35 hours/week)
• School hours: 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM (flexible start time available at 8:15 AM)
• Contract duration: Immediate start through end of school year

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate communication between Deaf or Hard of Hearing students and their peers, teachers, and staff
• Interpret classroom lectures, discussions, and school activities accurately and professionally
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to ensure inclusion and accessibility
