Job Details
Essential Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in construction estimating, particularly in exterior remodeling or roofing
- Proficiency with estimating tools such as PlanSwift and Bluebeam
- Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and market pricing
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy in cost analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience estimating for multifamily, HOA, or commercial projects
- Familiarity with building codes and permitting processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
- Professional certifications such as CPE (Certified Professional Estimator)
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze project documents to prepare detailed and competitive cost estimates
- Perform quantity take-offs and evaluate subcontractor/vendor proposals
- Develop and submit proposals for RFPs, negotiated contracts, and hard bids
- Collaborate with project managers, sales teams, and clients throughout the bid process
- Improve estimating tools and mentor junior team members
