The Mobile Engineer's primary responsibility is to provide joint supervision of the Engineering Department Staff and to help manage all operations, maintenance activities & support as needed by the Engineering Team. This includes management and delegation of PMs, repairs and vendor support on building systems and equipment under the contract between JLL and the client. The position is attached to the Collective Bargaining Agreement between JLL and the International Union of Operating Engineers – Local 39. Responsibilities include providing technical advice and instruction in mechanical, electrical, control, and life safety systems; performing plumbing, electrical, HVAC tasks; maintaining heating equipment, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, air distribution systems; inspecting building systems including fire alarm panels, HVAC, plumbing; verifying field conditions and performing repairs; monitoring and interacting with Energy Management System/BMS; reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, manuals; performing PM assignments timely using JLL CMMS System; assisting team members with maintenance and repairs; inspecting and repairing electrical, fire alarm, plumbing, doors, lighting systems; troubleshooting and repairing equipment; using hand tools and electrical testing equipment; performing rounds and readings on HVAC, boiler plant, emergency power, life safety systems; installing and repairing equipment such as motors, bearings, valves, piping; responding to emergencies; maintaining documentation and communication; using Microsoft Office and CMMS; providing customer service; operating site vehicles with DMV background check; following JLL Uniform Dress Code; complying with safety and hazardous materials policies; supporting a clean and safe workplace; performing other duties as directed by Chief Engineer. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs, hearing and seeing alarms, stooping, bending, kneeling, standing, working on ladders and outdoors. Qualifications include High School Diploma or GED, Local 39 Apprenticeship preferred, minimum 5 years experience, strong communication, time management, organizational skills, Universal CFC (EPA) License, High Rise Fire Safety Director Certification, additional trade schooling or licenses a plus.
