Position Summary:

In this highly visible financial planning and analysis role, you will support Kemper Property & Casualty Claims business leaders by providing critical insights to enable data-driven decisions. We seek a team player with solid financial knowledge, a problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and fact-based communication skills.

Position Responsibilities:

1. Provide analysis of monthly financial performance, focusing on claims-related expenses. Interpret financial data and KPIs to aid leadership decision-making.
2. Produce management reports and expense analyses for monthly reviews.
3. Support financial planning and forecasting processes.
4. Understand vendor usage and spend within the claims organization to analyze key drivers.
5. Prepare reports and presentations for executive meetings and management.
6. Consolidate financial data from multiple platforms, suggest procedural improvements for accuracy and efficiency.
7. Develop ad-hoc analyses as needed by the Claims team.
8. Coordinate with the broader Kemper Finance team to address business issues and meet organizational goals.

Position Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 2 years' experience in financial planning, analysis, corporate finance, or accounting.
2. Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting, economics, or related field.
3. Excellent time management and ability to prioritize under tight deadlines.
4. Strong understanding of financial statements; knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance P&L is a plus.
5. Meticulous, team-oriented, and motivated to produce high-quality work. Quick learner, adept at handling ambiguity.
6. Advanced Excel skills with ability to create visually appealing reports.
7. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting complex analyses.
9. Knowledge of insurance concepts, Workday, Adaptive, and Tableau is preferred but not required.

The salary range for this position is $53,200-$88,600.
